Senior Design Researcher, Canadian Digital Service (CDS)
Mithula Naik is a Senior Design Researcher at the Canadian Digital Service (CDS), the central digital services agency within the Government of Canada. She leads research on citizen-facing services for federal organizations, guiding the public sector to develop a deeper understanding of the needs and behaviours of the people who use its services. Prior to CDS, she was a design researcher at the Privy Council Office’s Central Innovation Hub (now Impact and Innovation Unit), where she worked on design-led interventions to improve policy, program and service delivery in the Government of Canada. She has worked on diverse issues from immigration, Veterans services to gender inclusion. Over her career, Mithula has focused on tackling complex problems using mixed methods research. Her work delivers evidence-based insights to shape the design of strategies, user experience, products, and services. Mithula holds an MDes in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University and a BDes in Product and Interface Design from Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology.
